Pretty tough to win when you spend a literal third of the game killing bogus penalties. And that’s all I’ll say about that.

And people wonder why Wings fans continuously complain about reffing calls & bad officiating. I hate to say that this is exactly the thing that gets us stereotyped as just that. What the hell ever happened to the refs just "letting them play?" I knew going into this that with Brad Watson reffing, that it'd be ugly. But this is ridiculous. I'm sure the Wings took some penalties because they were frustrated, but to give SJ 10 power plays? 10?? Without Patrick Eaves in the line-up. Sheesh. This isn't playoff hockey. This isn't even stuff they call at the beginning of the season. This is bullshit. That's what it is.
I'm soundly voting for them just calling this game a win for the refs and then playing game 2a.
