In reply to Crater from SoCal. Totally agree with you guys on that one. I'm not saying he has the potential to be like them, but Abby's scored some goals that look like they came straight from the playbook of Pav and Hank (being BFFs they have a scrapbook filled with ideas for new ways to dazzle us). True, he doesn't always hit his mark, but no one does every time. Give the kid a chance to do something more than smash people (although he shouldn't stop doing that) and I think most people would be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

In reply to eshad15. I agree. I've explained to people that his lack of production last season when he was up with the Wings was because Babcock didn't play him to score. Babcocks asked him to go out there and finish his checks.. and everyone else's checks. He did that, to a T. He still does that, works hard and came out with a goal because of it. And probably a permanent roster spot, or as permanent as they get under Babcock.

I like to see Gator scoring goals. He’s got a better scoring touch than people think. He’s been a solid goal scorer pretty much anywhere he’s been. He certainly was when I was playing him back in high school. That didn’t change when he was at MSU when he went and got the game winning goal in the national title game. I think his offense will really start to pick up in the next couple years as he gets more and more playing time at this level, I think he definitely has the potential to eventually be a second line guy.
