Howie is one half the answer and unfortunately for Joey Mac, he isn’t. even if uncle Kenny has to spend 2 mil for a backup that’s reliable, that is still a small price to pay for net security with what will most certainly be a defense in continual progress since the Wings will be without Lidstrom and Stuart. reliable, solid goaltending is what will win games, series, and playoffs. LOL! maybe uncle Kenny is working on a secret deal to lure Roberto Luongo to Detroit. wouldn’t surprise me considering what we’ve seen go on in the past with Hasek, Osgood, and Joseph. would that be a hoot or what?

Ty it was a slice but in this fan’s opinion, perhaps you should think about retiring from the NHL and possibly latch on in the AHL. Lidstrom got it right. Conklin should take the cue that the game is apparently walking away from him.

Although, with the loss of Lidstrom, I am now more sympathetic about going after a stronger back up goaltender. I’m still going to want to see Suter/Parise nabbed first to ensure we have the money to go after a solid backup.

He made $750,000 this yr so that would be a good raise for him
