“Thank the lord for this bountiful… PENIS!”
“Bountiful penis, amen”

Also, Alex “I was elected to lead, not to read” Ovechkin

I’m extremely happy Amadio is not property of the wings. I was born and raised in Chicago and I do have one Chicago hockey team close to my heart: the Chicago Wolves. A couple weeks ago I went to the GR vs the Wolves game and Amadio had an extremely dirty hit were he completely jumped into the hit and got his shoulder right into Jared Ross’ head. The hit was fairly similar to the hit on Stuart last nite except for the fact that instead of just catching Ross’ jaw he instead caught him directly in the face, leaving him unconscious and convulsing on the ice for about 2 min. I usually will never hate on a player that dons the winged wheel sweater, but after that hit I sincerely hope he never is signed by the Wings and certainly hope he never makes their roster because I absolutely will not stand for any player who pulls that kind of crap while wearing a Red Wings sweater.

Ok, drunken biased Wolves rant over. Go Wings.

I’ve got Ehrhardt behind those other guys, but I trust your analysis on that front, having not seen him live this season. Pyett is one of those guys that played very well in Junior, won a WJC Gold Medal with Canada, and is huge. I assume the Wings would like to give him a LOOK (and he’s waiver-eligible next season), but he doesn’t strike me as the “He’s ready, let’s look at him” kind of player, ya know what I mean?

Sergei Kolosov has been a long-term project from the beginning, and I can’t imagine he’s ever a top 6 in DETROIT kind of defenseman. Maybe I’m wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time.

The other Griffins defensemen are Greg Amadio (on a Grand Rapids-only contract), and Sebastien Piche (who is up and down from Toledo… so you know he’s at the bottom of the list).

To sum up:
1. LIDSTROM — knock on wood
2. RAFALSKI — let’s hope his back holds up
3. KRONWALL — knock on wood
4. Stuart — Out 6-8 Weeks
5. SALEI
6. ERICSSON
7. KINDL
—————
8. Meech — Can’t be called up, re-entry waivers
9. Janik — Injured
10. Smith — Injured
11. Lashoff — Injured
12. KOLOSOV
13. PYETT
14. EHRHARDT
15. PICHE
N/A. Amadio — Not Red Wings property

If anyone knows when Janik, Smith, and Lashoff are to return, I’d love to hear about it.

Absolutely behind your “Tots” declaration and I will do my part to help.

Travis Ehrhardt has looked pretty good at the last few Griffins games I’ve been to, though I’m not sure where he falls on the depth chart/if he would even be a possibility…but fingers crossed that a call-up wont be necessary.

1.) I’m calling Tatar “Tots”. I don’t frakkin care if it is ta-TAR, the dude’s name looks like tater and he’s actually kind of ruined actual tater tots for me. Oh, but anyway, he and Mursak have been great! It’s heartwarming, actually.

2.) Kolosov was so bad during Training Camp it was ridiculous. I lol’d at him the entire time. I’d actually be begging for Janik (synonymous with fail) if we somehow ended up with Kolosov up here.

Yikes, look at that injury list grow.
