I'll admit, I expected a close game. I thought we'd win, but I thought it would be in overtime - maybe several overtimes. And when we had all those great chances in the first and couldn't beat Bryzgalov, I started to have a bad feeling. Sometimes it's good to be wrong!

I hope Coyotes fans read your second paragraph. And all the nice things Red Wings fans tweeted about them last night. I was proud of us for being good winners. Also of them for booing beer bottle guy.

I'm pretty happy for Phoenix and I hope that this season's success can get them some certainty in the offseason.

I also hope the fan that threw the bottle got raped by a gorilla in prison. Still, one stupid angry drunk fan does not represent an entire fanbase (evidenced by the fact that they booed him and didn't take long to point him out to security). I thought the crowd acquitted themselves pretty well last night (aside from the JIMMY chants right after puck drop, but I think that's just dumb rather than classless).

On to the Sharks and another (quasi)Russian goalie, the kind against which Pavel Datsyuk loves to play.

Jimmy letting in that goal pissed me off esp. after it turned out that Phoenix couldn't score a goal that wasn't right off the faceoff. I was hoping Jimmy gets another shutout.

Seriously, after the second Dats goal, I felt like I could hear: "where was all that in the Olympics?" :)
